JOB SUMMARY:

The position is a senior management level position responsible for devising strategies, formulating policies and overseeing the upkeep and continued operational renewable energy for the corporation. The position will identify and manage renewable energy projects in line with regulations to ensure seamless operations and requires a balance between hands-on technical knowledge, financial and administrative acumen to support overall productivity and efficiency of the organization.

REPORTING TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and implementing renewable energy strategies, operational policies, standards, and procedures aligned with organizational goals;
  • Providing technical advice and recommendations on renewable energy technologies and their integration with other power systems

  • Formulating strategic and operational objectives and tracking progress towards achieving those objectives;
  • Conducting and coordinating large scale renewable energy projects from concept to commissioning involving multi-disciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders
  • Examining and analysing financing models, project financing structures, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Return on Investment (ROI) analysis
  • Co-ordinating and managing multiple stakeholders (investors, partners, communities, and internal teams to present technical and strategic insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identifying, assessing and mitigating technical, financial, and operational risks in renewable energy projects.
  • Managing and developing high-performing teams and nurturing talent in renewable energy disciplines
  • Delivering and ensuring project milestones, KPIs, and driving business growth through renewable initiatives in an appropriate cost-effective way.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 School Certificate. Mathematics and English language
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably Electrical or Electrical/Electronics or Electro/Mechanical;
  • Minimum Experience of Ten (10) years; and at least 5 years at Head or Director Operations and Maintenance or similar level
  • Knowledge of working with high voltage;
  • Project planning, implementation and monitoring;
  • Knowledge of Strategic planning;
  • Strong understanding of business management, financial and strategic planning;
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) and Registered Engineer (REng); and
  • Demonstratable project management and organisation skills will be an added advantage.

BACKGROUND

The position is a senior management role responsible for supporting, developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and systems that promote effective workforce management, organisational performance and regulatory compliance. The role provides leadership in key HR areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, staff development and policy formulation. It ensures compliance with applicable labour laws and industry regulations while fostering a productive, engaged, and high-performing workforce.

REPORTING TO: HEAD HUMAN RESOURCE


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding of staff.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure adequate and effective staffing levels.
  • Implement and enforce Human Resource policies and procedures in compliance with Zambian labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee performance management systems, including appraisals, reward frameworks, and staff development programmes such as succession planning.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary processes, in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Manage HR information systems, including payroll processing, attendance tracking, and staff welfare programmes.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient HR operations.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive, productive, and compliant workplace culture.
  • Prepare HR reports and provide guidance and advisory support to management on HR-related matters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) credits including Mathematics and English language
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field;
  • Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), or related field, will be an added advantage;
  • Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM)
  • 8-10 years’ experience in manufacturing or production environments, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role;
  • Strong understanding of Zambia labour laws and HR best practices
  • Continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

JOB SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for expert advice and guidance on legal matters for an organization. They are responsible for ensuring that the organization operates within boundaries and mitigates any legal risks it may face.

REPORTING TO: COMPANY SECRETARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Prepare and follow through with strategies to enable the company ensure regulatory compliance;
  • Ensure proper case flow management of all matters that are a subject of litigation;
  • Conduct research and prepare legal opinions relating to matters arising out of the Companies Act, labour laws and other relevant laws that affect the business of the Company;
  • Provide advice to the company on statutory compliance in the conduct of the business and in the formulation of policy documents;
  • Draft and/or review legal letters, contracts and agreements and monitor legal obligations under agreements to ensure compliance, as required;
  • Able to draft minutes of the meetings and reports;
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual work reports.
  • Maintain a database on the status of all court matters involving the company;
  • Provide professional assistance and guidance as may be required;
  • Representing and defending the interests of the company in all legal proceedings so as to prevent or minimize loss;
  • Attend to conveyancing matters; and
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) credits including Mathematics and English language
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree;
  • Must be an advocate of the High Court for Zambia and member of the Law Association of Zambia;
  • At least Four (4) years post qualification experience.
  • Aged between 25 - 45 years old;
  • Sound Company Law and Commercial Law experience will be an added advantage; and
  • Knowledge of the energy sector is an added advantage.

Job Summary:

The position of Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of solar and hydro generating plant equipment, as well as managing projects relating to generating plants to ensure compliance with schedule, budget and quality standards.

REPORTING TO: HEAD OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Develop operation procedures and maintenance plans
  • Monitor high-voltage equipment and conduct inspections to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose failures in plant equipment and control systems, conducting root cause analysis
  • Prepare technical drawings, schematics and specifications for upgrades to existing plant, or new system installations using tools like AutoCAD
  • Coordinate and manage project site construction activities, ensuring compliance to specifications and regulations;
  • Conduct regular inspections of quality and quantity of materials and ensure proper storage;
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure all personnel and equipment operate within safety guidelines, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements for a safe working environment;
  • Provide regular feedback on operations and maintenance, as well as projects status to stakeholders and address any technical and logistical issues or other concerns promptly; and
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably Electrical, Electrical/Electronics or Electrical /Mechanical Engineering;
  • Proven experience in plant equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of project management and organisation skills;
  • Familiar with relevant construction codes and regulations;
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Must have at least 2 years relevant experience;
  • Must be a member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ); and
  • Having a driving license will be an added advantage.
